"That sort of stuff always goes down well," she said. "This sort of day is all about strappy dresses, strappy shoes and having fun in the sun."

She said this year the focus was on having a good time and the fashion in the field showcase would be left until February.

"At this time of the year it is a good opportunity for people fake rolex to have Christmas parties and there will be lots of people having a good day."

Mrs Bax said indoor spaces comprising six marquees and lounges for corporate guests had been booked out but there was still plenty of room for the public.

But while children will still get in
embroidered patches for free, general admission will cost $10. This is the first time in many years where there has been an entry cost but Mrs Bax said it was a case of meeting the cost of staging the event.

"Putting on an event of this magnitude is becoming more and more expensive and anyway where else could you go and pay $10 for a whole day's entertainment?"
