Handbag brawl ends in tears

ALL BLACKS flanker Chris Masoe has been fined nearly Pounds 1,500 by the New Zealand Rugby Union for his part in a bar room scuffle during which he was hit over the head with a woman's handbag by team- mate Tana Umaga.

The incident occurred in Christchurch at the weekend after their Wellington Harricanes side had been beaten by Canterbury Crusaders in the Super 14 final.

Masoe reportedly punched a person in the face at the bar and former New Damier geant canvas Replica Handbags Zealand captain Umaga stepped in to stop the fight by grabbing a women's bag and hitting Masoe on the head.

The normally tough Mascoe then burst into tears and had to be calmed before being escorted from the bar by Umaga and a female bouncer.

PROMOTER Frank Maloney today claimed Martin Power is the best bantamweight boxer in Europe, writes David Smith.

After Power extended his unbeaten record to 19 fights by stopping Isaac Ward at Bethnal Green's York Hall, Maloney said: "I'd match Martin with European title holder Simone Maludrottu tomorrow. That's how good he is."

Westwood pulls out of Memorial

AFTER five missed cuts in a row - three in America, two in Europe - Lee Westwood has decided not to play in the Memorial golf tournament starting tomorrow in Columbus, Ohio.

But it does not mean the former European No1 will play in the US Open qualifying event at Walton Heath next Monday.
